    This curriculum aims to deliver the most up to date evidence from research, combined with clinical expertise from treatment providers, as well as lived experience of people with mental health and substance use concerns and their families. It was developed in consultation with many different groups to ensure that the content is accurate, evidence-based and helpful to those working with people experiencing mental health and substance use concerns.

    • Defines concurrent disorders
    • Explains the role of language in contributing to stigma and outlines phrases, words and terms that are less stigmatizing
    • Explains the complex, bi-directional nature of concurrent disorders and challenges in receiving care.
